Finds new home in Las Vegas
The Raiders agreed to terms with Johnson on Monday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson appeared in 15 games for the Panthers last season, though he saw just 13 snaps on defense and 339 on special teams. The 29-year-old defensive back figures to slot into a similar depth role with the Raiders next season.

Johnson and fellow starting safety Justin Reid probably have a dreary season ahead cleaning up the never-ending mess that might be the Houston defense, but for IDP purposes that should make both of their roles fruitful, perhaps very much so. Johnson is a former cornerback who converted to safety last year, and the results were mostly good. Johnson is an exceptional athlete by safety standards, and pairing that athleticism with his unique wingspan could make him a rangy threat downfield. He had 49 tackles in the final seven games last year. A similar tackle rate is the hope.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Trade rumors resurface
Johnson could be dealt prior to the Nov. 2 trade deadline, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Fowler reported prior to the start of the season that Johnson could be on the move. While that didn't come to fruition, Fowler is again suggesting that the Texans could trade Johnson based on the presence of Eric Murray and Justin Reid at safety. However, that doesn't seem to mesh with the team's actual plans, as Murray has played solely on special teams for the last two games, while Johnson has had an expanded role in the secondary.
