Krull failed to stand out in Denver’s unimpressive tight end room last season, securing 19 of 23 targets for 152 yards. He had only eight catches in the preceding campaign, during which Krull also scored his lone NFL touchdown to date. Offseason addition Evan Engram is expected to get the majority of pass catching opportunities at the position for the Broncos, and Adam Trautman will likely continue to work ahead of Krull due to Trautman’s dependable blocking, so the 27-year-old Krull doesn’t have a clear path to fantasy relevance in 2025. Krull didn’t have an NFL catch until Week 14 of last season, but he showed some promising pass catching ability down the stretch, turning 12 targets into eight catches for 95 yards and a touchdown over the final five games of 2023. While Greg Dulcich has the most upside among Denver’s tight ends, Dulcich has played just 12 games in two seasons and has already dealt with three separate hamstring injuries. Adam Trautman is returning after leading Denver’s tight ends in snaps last season, but he’s more valuable as a blocker than a pass catcher. There’s a path to an increased role for Krull in his age-26 season, especially if Dulcich gets hurt again, but keep in mind that Krull has just eight career catches.
