2025 Fantasy Outlook
Davenport is one of many Detroit defenders that will be making his return to action in 2025 after an injury-shortened campaign. The defensive lineman suffered a season-ending triceps injury Week 3, appearing in just two regular-season contests and recording two total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, in those games. Davenport's best season came in 2021 with the Saints, when he produced 39 tackles, including 9.0 sacks, both of which were career highs. He'll look to emulate those numbers, starting opposite Aidan Hutchinson on the Lions' defensive line this season. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Remaining on IR
Davenport (shoulder) has been downgraded and ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran defensive lineman from UTSA practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week and was originally listed as questionable, but he'll now remain on the injured reserve list through Detroit's Week 11 contest. Davenport has appeared in just two games this season, recording three total tackles, including 1.0 sacks. Once fully healthy, he's expected to operate as one of the Lions' top reserve defensive ends.

Not yet ready to return
Davenport will not be ready to return from injured reserve in Week 11 against the Broncos, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Davenport has been sidelined by an ankle sprain and had a tightrope procedure to address the issue when he was originally placed on injured reserve in mid-October. He won't return to the field when first eligible, though coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday that he expects to get Davenport back at some point this season. Prior to going down, he had tallied two sacks across four games.
