2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 49ers selected Sigle in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft in order to provide depth to its secondary that has been lacking in recent years. The Kansas State product would need an injury or two in order to open up a path to playing time that would make him a relevant IDP option as a rookie. For now, Sigle figures to fill a depth/special-teams role for San Francisco. Read Past Outlooks
Team-high 13 tackles in Week 5 win
Sigle registered 13 tackles (seven solo) and one pass defense during Thursday's 26-23 overtime win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Sigle reached double-digit tackles for the first time this season, and he finished Thursday's game with the second most tackles behind Rams linebacker Nate Landman (14). Sigle has played every defensive snap in each of the first five games of the regular season and is up to 39 tackles (22 solo), two pass defenses and one forced fumble. His playing time could take a dip with Malik Mustapha (knee) close to returning from the reserve/PUP list.

Pushing to start as rookie
Sigle could win a starting job at safety to begin the 2025 season, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
The 49ers invested heavily in their defense in the 2025 Draft, though Sigle wasn't a big name as a fifth-round pick. His stock has steadily risen throughout training camp, with coach Kyle Shanahan confirming that Sigle is pushing Jason Pinnock and Ji'Ayir Brown for playing time. Malik Mustapha is returning from a knee injury and will likely take one of the two starting spots when he gets cleared, but he is currently without a timeline for his return.
