Parsons entered training camp patiently waiting for Jerry Jones to finally sit down and hammer out a massive contract extension, but there's some question that he'll be on the field Week 1 considering he has yet to practice and the two sides haven't made inroads on negotiations. The 26-year-old is arguably the most dangerous quarterback hunter in the league, recording at least 12.0 sacks in all four of his NFL seasons. Parsons will face a bit of a headwind from his new scheme, as defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus hasn't generally overseen dominant pass rushes, but Parsons' elite athleticism and talent are more than enough for him to make an impact in any defense. Picks up another sack
Parsons recorded one solo tackle, including 1.0 sacks, during Green Bay's win over the Steelers on Sunday.
				ANALYSIS
Parsons has now brought his sack total to 6.5 across seven regular-season appearances with Green Bay. That total puts him at sixth in the league, trailing teammate Rashan Gary (7.5 sacks). Parsons will have a chance to add to his impressive numbers Week 9 at home against the Panthers. Bryce Young (ankle) could have his mobility hampered if cleared to suit up, and veteran backup Andy Dalton looked overwhelmed while taking seven sacks versus Buffalo in Week 8.

Parsons set a new career high with 14.0 sacks last year, but he's been arguably the most consistent pass rusher in the NFL since being drafted 12th overall in 2021, producing 13.0 sacks as a rookie and 13.5 in 2022. Former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn lined him up all over the field looking for mismatches, but it's not yet clear how new DC Mike Zimmer plans to deploy Parsons, or whether the scheme change will have an impact on his numbers. The 25-year-old edge rusher's elite athleticism should allow him to thrive no matter how he's used, however.
