2024 Projections
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Since being selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons has emerged as one of the most dynamic defensive players in the league, racking up 26.5 sacks in his first 33 games for Dallas without even being a full-time pass rusher. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn sees the value in keeping offenses guessing by lining Parsons up all over the formation and using him in different roles, and while that makes the 24-year-old's ultimate statistical output tough to predict, his main job for the Cowboys will still be to terrorize quarterbacks. RANKS
Another big season
Parsons recorded 64 tackles (36 solo) including 14.0 sacks with two passes defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over 17 regular-season games in 2023.
ANALYSIS
The versatile pass rusher delivered at least 13.0 sacks for the third straight season to begin his NFL career, finishing tied for seventh in the league with Myles Garrett. Parsons remains a threat to take down the QB on every play, but the potential departure of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn this offseason could force the 24-year-old linebacker to learn a new scheme for the first time in his career in 2024.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be extension candidate
Parsons could begin contract extension talks with the Cowboys this offseason, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The superstar pass rusher is under team control through 2026, so there will be no rush to get a deal in place, but Parsons is a player that Dallas owner Jerry Jones will want to lock up as quickly as possible. New contracts for quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will be the top offseason priorities for the Cowboys, but if those get done quickly enough, progress could be made toward a new deal for Parsons as well.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
There’s no comparison to the uniqueness and profound talent Parsons brings to the field, and
it’s tough to project the specifics of his future since he can dominate in so many ways. The area
of eventual focus is what will determine his IDP upside – more off-ball work means more
tackles, so the more Parsons rushes the passer the less likely he is to rank at the top of IDP
linebackers.
