Quinn Ewers

22-Year-Old QuarterbackQB
Miami Dolphins
2025 Fantasy Outlook
A seventh-round pick in this year's draft, Ewers joins a Miami team that is financially committed to Zach Wilson as the backup to Tua Tagovailoa for at least 2025. But after three starting seasons at Texas following a one-year stint at Ohio State, Ewers has plenty of experience and boasts more upside than the typical seventh-rounder, as injuries contributed to his slide. This season, however, he's likely headed to the practice squad. Read Past Outlooks

Ewers completed 20 of 30 passes for 260 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions and rushed twice for five yards in the Dolphins' 45-21 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The rookie seventh-round pick held his own -- albeit in a relatively favorable matchup -- in his first NFL start, arguably offering more of a spark at times than deposed starter Tua Tagovailoa. Ewers didn't take any sacks, but both of his second-half interceptions led to Bengals touchdowns. Ewers spread the ball around well while connecting with nine different targets overall, and he's likely to remain the starter for a Week 17 home matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

Named Week 16 starter
QBMiami Dolphins
December 17, 2025
Ewers will start Sunday's Week 16 game against the Bengals, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie seventh-round pick was officially promoted by head coach Mike McDaniel on Wednesday, with the McDaniel noting the Dolphins need "convicted quarterback play" and adding he felt Ewers "gave us the best chance to do that." Ewers' one career appearance to date came in Week 7 against the Browns, the only game in which he served as anything other than the No. 3 emergency quarterback. Notably, the player Ewers leapfrogged for the starting assignment, Zach Wilson, will serve as the No. 2 signal-caller versus Cincinnati, while Tua Tagovailoa will fill the No. 3 role.
