2025 Fantasy Outlook
Aaron Rodgers and Sauce Gardner are the most talked about Jets who were a letdown in 2024, but things didn't go particularly well for Williams either. His campaign was bookended by shoulder and hamstring injuries, perhaps a partial explanation for his lowest tackle output since his rookie year and relative lack of impact on opposing offenses. Williams is on track to be healthy to begin 2025, and the team should be reinvigorated under a new coaching staff and front office. With Williams still entering only his age-27 season, expect a return to 50 tackles and at least five sacks. Read Past Outlooks

On the surface, Williams took a significant step backward in 2023, as his sack total dropped from 12.5 in 2022 to 5.0. While that was disappointing, his ability to impact the quarterback suggests his production will tick back up in 2024. Wiliams recorded 53 quarterback hurries (per PFF) - only Aaron Donald had more among interior linemen - and also had a pass-rush win rate of 19.5 percent - third-highest among interior defensive linemen. The situation around him also improved despite some offseason departures, as the Jets added Javon Kinlaw to pair with Williams on the interior, a move that should help take some attention away from him. The best thing about Williams' profile is that even if his sack total remains relatively flat, he remains an elite run stuffer and will undoubtedly be a centerpiece of New York's defense.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Garnering trade interest
Several teams have called the Jets showing interest in acquiring Williams ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, but Dianna Russini of The Athletic notes that the asking price for the 2019 first-rounder is steep.
ANALYSIS
Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic relays that the Jets -- despite an 0-7 record to start the season -- are not actively shopping Williams, and that it would take a significant offer for the Jets to consider moving on from the 2019 first-rounder. Williams was named to the First-Team All-Pro in 2022 and has earned a spot at the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons, so he would give a contending team a significant boost to its defensive line. Williams has 31 tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and three forced fumbles through the first seven games of the regular season.
