Sean Tucker

Sean Tucker

23-Year-Old Running BackRB
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Tucker suited up for all 17 regular-season games with the Bucs, but 46 percent of his yardage and two of his three touchdowns came in just one contest, a Week 6 matchup against the Saints in which he erupted for 192 scrimmage yards. Otherwise, the Syracuse product mostly took a back seat to Bucky Irving and Rachaad White. Tucker's one big game suggests he's got lead back upside, and new offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard might view the depth chart differently than Liam Coen did, but it will likely take injuries ahead of him for that opportunity to present itself. Does little with six touches

October 6, 2025
Tucker rushed three times for three yards and brought in all three targets for minus-4 yards in the Buccaneers' 38-35 win over the Seahawks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The expanded role as Sunday's No. 2 back afforded to Tucker due to Bucky Irving's (foot/shoulder) absence didn't end up netting much opportunity for the speedy third-year pro, who logged a modest 13 snaps from scrimmage (21 percent). Tucker didn't find any room to operate when he did have the ball in his hands, making it a completely non-descript day from a fantasy standpoint. Irving is expected to remain out for Sunday's Week 6 home showdown against the 49ers, however, so Tucker should have another opportunity to spell interim lead back Rachaad White on occasion during that contest.

2023
Health concerns regarding a heart condition caused Tucker to go undrafted in 2023, but his performance at Syracuse hinted at a potentially productive NFL career. Instead, he was nearly invisible as a rookie behind Rachaad White in the Buccaneers' backfield, and once Chase Edmonds got healthy, almost all of Tucker's snaps came on special teams. He lacks the skills to contribute on passing downs, but Tucker's balance, power and elusiveness should allow him to gain yards after contact. Tampa Bay drafted Bucky Irving in the fourth round in 2024, making Tucker's path to a roster spot even tougher.
Tucker makes for a high-pedigree undrafted free agent, as he racked up 2,556 rushing yards, 509 receiving yards and 27 total touchdowns over his last two seasons at Syracuse. The compactly built rookie (5-9, 207) should have his fair share of reps during training camp and preseason games, but he'll have no shortage of competition for a depth running back role considering the presence of holdovers Ke'Shawn Vaughn and Patrick Laird, as well as fellow UDFA Ronnie Brown.

White's injury creates opportunity
RBTampa Bay Buccaneers
August 14, 2025
Tucker has a chance to carve out a larger role while Rachaad White recover from a groin injury, per Eric Edholm of NFL.com.
ANALYSIS
Tucker turned heads with 192 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in a Week 6 win over the Saints last season. He was generally relegated to a third-string role behind Bucky Irving and White outside of that game, but White's injury could pave the way for Tucker to move up the depth chart. White averaged just 4.3 yards per carry in the 2024 regular season compared to Tucker's 6.2 and Irving's 5.4.
