Johnson tallied 65 total tackles (42 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and added five passes defended with two interceptions plus one forced fumble over 12 regular-season games in 2024.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old missed time after sustaining a forearm injury in the Bills' Week 1 win over the Cardinals. Despite being sidelined for five games, Johnson nabbed a career-high two interceptions in 2024, including one pick-six. He remained one of the top playmakers on Buffalo's defense, co-leading the team in interceptions and ranking third in passes defended. Johnson inked a three-year, $30.75 million extension with the Bills last offseason, so he's expected to stay in Buffalo for 2025. The Weber State product is likely to retain his role as the Bills' top slot corner.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Johnson is limited primarily to slot duties, and thus has been one of the main beneficiaries of the explosion of three-wide receiver sets across the league. He's played over 800 defensive snaps in each of the last four seasons and topped 900 in each of the last two campaigns. That's led to a minimum seven of seven pass breakups in each season in that span. The Bills rewarded him with a three-year, $30.75 million contract extension during the offseason, making him a safe bet to pencil into the same role he's occupied for the last several seasons.
Though Johnson has a modest total of four interceptions in five pro seasons with the Bills, on the plus side his stats at cornerback look more like those an in-the-box strong safety. In 2022 he started 15 games and totaled 90 tackles, six tackles for loss and nine passes defended. Johnson is in his prime entering his age-27 season and will be counted on as the nickel corner in arguably the best secondary in the NFL, a context that puts the 2018 fourth-rounder on the fantasy radar.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could land on IR
CBBuffalo Bills
September 10, 2024
The Bills are evaluating whether Johnson will be placed on injured reserve due to a forearm injury, Chris Brown of the Bills Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson left Sunday's win over Arizona early and was quickly ruled out for Week 2, as Buffalo will face Miami on a short week Thursday. Coach Sean McDermott did not rule out a potential stint on injured reserve, however. Johnson is one of the better slot corners in the league and will leave a significant hole in the Bills' secondary as they take on an explosive Miami passing attack.
