Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
A 2022 second-round pick, Andersen posted 69 tackles in 17 games as a rookie and was on track for a huge Year 2, totaling 19 tackles in two games, before being placed on season-ending IR due to a pectoral injury. He returned to practice at the end of 2023 but was never cleared for game action. Andersen was back on the field for the offseason program and should be full go in 2024. Kaden Elliss and Nate Landman had strong seasons in Andersen's absence, but the latter has a higher upside and should be able to reclaim a starting gig, which should make him a strong IDP option. Contributes when healthy
Andersen (knee) recorded 47 tackles (28 solo) and a pick-six in seven games this season.
ANALYSIS
The inside linebacker's knee injury forced him to end the campaign on injured reserve. In the three games in which he played on at least 76 percent of the defensive snaps, Andersen finished with nine, 12 and 17 tackles, respectively. Unfortunately, Andersen also ended 2023 on injured reserve, due to a shoulder/pectoral injury.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Andersen, a 2022 second-round pick, replaced Mykal Walker as a starting inside linebacker after Atlanta's Week 14 bye last year and posted 21 tackles over the Falcons' final four games. He finished his rookie campaign with 69 stops, one forced fumble and one pass defense, including a 13-tackle performance Week 6 when he played every single defensive snap. With Kaden Elliss replacing Rashaan Evans, Andersen is in a similar position heading into 2023 and should be viewed as a full-time starter, though Walker could work his way back into the mix if Andersen struggles with an expanded role in Year 2.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to pop in rookie season?
Gene Clemons of The Athletic thinks Andersen will be able to make big strides as an inside linebacker during his rookie season with Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Andersen spent just one season playing exclusively at inside linebacker during his collegiate career with Montana State, where he also split time starting at both quarterback and running back. The 2022 second-round pick was seen as one of the most athletic players at his position in this year's draft class and is expected to eventually contribute as a three-down linebacker as he grows into this full-time role. His 4.42-second 40-yard dash time is also reminiscent of fellow Falcons linebacker Deion Jones, who underwent offseason shoulder surgery and could be either traded or released by the team, possibly allowing Andersen to step into a bigger role sooner rather than later.
