2022 Fantasy Outlook
The 2021 second-round speedster out of Louisville primarily was used as a punt and kick returner as a rookie, and Atwell looked like he would find some playing time when DeSean Jackson requested a trade before Week 8. A shoulder injury during that game against the Texans instead sidelined Atwell for the rest of the season. With Odell Beckham and Robert Woods also departing, Atwell should find some snaps as a wide receiver while retaining his role as a returner and could push Ben Skowronek for playing time as the No. 4 wideout for the Rams. Logs second TD of season
Atwell caught two of three targets for 27 yards and rushed once for 11 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 19-16 overtime loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Atwell's second career touchdown came on a bit of trickery from coach Sean McVay, with Baker Mayfield faking a handoff to Cam Akers before flicking the ball to Atwell, who was able to navigate his way in for the score to give the Rams a 13-7 lead. Atwell was thrust into an expanded role with the Rams' receiver corps decimated by injury, and in the final eight weeks of the season, he put up a 17-244-1 line with a revolving door of mediocre quarterbacks at the helm that were mostly unable to unlock the true potency of his game-breaking speed. He'll return for the third year of his rookie deal with optimism that he can carve out a role in the offense alongside Cooper Kupp (ankle), Allen Robinson (foot), Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek (calf).

Pittsburgh RB Israel Abanikanda is among eight players worth extended exposure in Underdog best ball drafts, as the rookie's price will likely jump after the combine.

Jordan Addison might not generate as much hype as recent WR1 selections, but the Pittsburgh-USC star is still a strong WR1 prospect in his own right.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
It will be interesting to see how involved Atwell, a 2021 second-round pick, is in the passing attack as a rookie. The Rams already have Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods atop the depth chart, and 2020 second-rounder Van Jefferson also should see more snaps this year. Additionally, veteran DeSean Jackson is a proven field stretcher, so Atwell could be eased in and not play consistently. Considering Los Angeles didn't give Jefferson many opportunities in his rookie year, the draft capital invested in Atwell isn't a guarantee he'll be heavily involved in the offense.
