Tyrone Tracy

24-Year-Old Running BackRB
2024 Fantasy Outlook
A converted wide receiver, Tracy joins a Giants backfield in need of dynamic playmaking after Saquon Barkley left for the Eagles. A fifth-round pick out of Purdue in 2024, Tracy runs with surprising power given his background, but it's his elusiveness and desire to squeeze every possible yard out of a run that stand out. He's still learning the nuances of being a running back and can get himself into trouble trying to do too much, but he could be a weapon on jet sweeps and as a kick returner right away behind starter Devin Singletary. Loses crucial fumble

November 10, 2024
Tracy rushed the ball 18 times for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Panthers. He added one reception on two targets for one yard.
ANALYSIS
Tracy maintained his lead in the Giants' backfield and recorded his third 100-yard rushing game of the season. The performance was highlighted by an impressive 32-yard touchdown scamper, during which Tracy cut back and streaked through a hole in the middle of the field to reach the end zone for the third time in the campaign. Unfortunately for him, his production was overshadowed by a lost fumble early in overtime that set up the game-winning field goal for Carolina. Despite the temporary setback, Tracy should remain the team's lead back in Week 12 -- following a bye -- against the Bucs.

Increase in touches not guaranteed
RBNew York Giants
October 8, 2024
Coach Brian Daboll did not commit to giving Tracy a larger role despite his strong performance in a Week 5 win over the Seahawks, Jordan Ranaan of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Tracy stepped into the lead back role due to Devin Singletary being sidelined by a groin injury and delivered 129 yards on 18 carries. Daboll praised Tracy's efficiency and gave him his due by saying he had a strong performance, but he also noted that the rookie's role would still be dependent on the Giants' game plan and opponent, and presumably by Singletary's health as well. The veteran back wasn't ruled out until late in the week ahead of the team's matchup against Seattle, and there's a strong chance that he will be able to return in Week 6 against Cincinnati.
