Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Guessing Tracy's trajectory from here isn't easy, but his 2024 rookie season was promising, especially for a player who was in only his second year playing running back full-time. He previously played wide receiver at Iowa and Purdue, so for him to claim a starting role with the Giants as a rookie fifth-round pick is a triumph regardless of how the rest of his career goes. That Tracy is an ongoing conversion case means he might suddenly improve at various RB functions where he struggled previously, even though he's one of the oldest players (25) from his draft class. With that said, Tracy will need to improve in order to remain a clear starter ahead of rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo and veteran Devin Singletary. It was easy for the Giants to give Tracy a long leash in an already-wasted 2024 season, but the coaches aren't likely to continue tolerating one fumble for every 46 touches (five times on 230 touches last year). While his receiving work last season was perhaps slightly disappointing for a WR convert, Tracy did well to average 4.4 yards per carry in a terrible offense with bad blocking, making him the favorite to enter Week 1 of 2025 as New York's starting RB. RANKS
Loses out to Singletary
Tracy rushed the ball 14 times for 62 yards in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Raiders. He added one reception on two targets for minus-5 yards.
ANALYSIS
Tracy led the Giants' backfield in rushing attempts and was fairly efficient with his opportunity. Two of his carries went for at least 10 yards, the longer of which was a 23-yard scamper that pushed the team into field-goal range on their first possession of the second half. However, Tracy missed out on opportunities to Devin Singletary, both as a receiver and near the goal line, to limit his fantasy appeal. Nevertheless, Tracy has at least 60 yards on the ground in six of his last seven games heading into an exploitable Week 18 matchup against the Cowboys.

A converted wide receiver, Tracy joins a Giants backfield in need of dynamic playmaking after Saquon Barkley left for the Eagles. A fifth-round pick out of Purdue in 2024, Tracy runs with surprising power given his background, but it's his elusiveness and desire to squeeze every possible yard out of a run that stand out. He's still learning the nuances of being a running back and can get himself into trouble trying to do too much, but he could be a weapon on jet sweeps and as a kick returner right away behind starter Devin Singletary.

Top RB after Skattebo injury
Tracy is expected to work as the Giants' primary running back moving forward, as Cam Skattebo is slated to undergo surgery Sunday night on the dislocated right ankle that he suffered during the Giants' Week 8 loss to the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
