Zach Allen

Zach Allen

28-Year-Old Defensive TackleDT
Denver Broncos
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Allen logged a career-high 911 defensive snaps in 2024, his second season with the Broncos. The results were mixed. As a pass rusher, Allen had by far his most impactful season, logging career-best marks in sacks (8.5) and quarterback hits (29), and he also matched his best mark in total quarterback hurries (38). However, his work in run defense seemed to take a corresponding step back, with his missed tackle rate specifically spiking to 17.9 percent. The latter won't particularly matter because Allen is locked into a significant role along the Denver defensive line, putting him in position to have another very productive 2025 campaign. Extends sack streak Week 10
DTDenver Broncos
November 8, 2025
Allen recorded four tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defense during Denver's 10-7 win over Las Vegas on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Allen got to Geno Smith on two separate occasions, with the former splitting sacks with Eyioma Uwazurike and Nik Bonitto in the first and second quarters, respectively. Allen has recorded at least 0.5 sacks in six consecutive games and is up to 6.0 sacks through 10 regular-season games, which is third most on the Broncos behind Bonitto (9.5) and Jonathon Cooper (7.5) and 11th most in the NFL.

Allen signed a lucrative deal to join the Broncos ahead of the 2023 season after spending the first four years of his career in Arizona. Both Allen's role and results stayed the same even with the change of scenery. He was used plenty as a pass rusher, but his primary task was to occupy offensive linemen in a 3-4 scheme. Given his effectiveness and the monetary commitment from the team, expect Allen to maintain a significant role along the Denver defensive line -- just don't count on much upside.
Allen found a new home with the Broncos this offseason, signing a three-year, $45.75 million deal. The 25-year-old defensive end spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cardinals, most recently recording career highs in both sacks (5.5) and passes defended (8), while accumulating 47 tackles (23 solo) in 2022. Allen joins a strong Denver defensive attack that should afford him many opportunities to build upon his totals from last season.
A third-round pick by the Cardinals in 2019, Allen has developed into perhaps the most reliable defensive lineman on the team through three campaigns, including 48 tackles, four sacks, three fumble recoveries (one for a touchdown) and one interception in 15 games last year. He's heading into his age-25 season, so assuming he recovers fully from January ankle surgery, Allen should take on the 41.1 defensive snaps per game he's averaged the past two years in 2022.
