Zion Johnson
25-Year-Old
2024 Fantasy Outlook
The 2022 first-round pick hasn't quite lived up to his draft status as Johnson once again put together a ho-hum performance within the team's interior offensive line. The addition of the No. 5 overall pick, Joe Alt, at right tackle and longtime veteran center Bradley Bozeman should elevate the team's overall offensive line play, which should hopefully allow the 24-year-old to blossom in his third year as a starter. Still dealing with ankle injury
Johnson (ankle) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
The Chargers' initial Week 16 injury report listed receiver Quentin Johnston as a non-participant Monday with an ankle injury, but Daniel Popper of The Athletic notes that that label was instead meant for Johnson, whose name was absent from the report. Los Angeles' updated injury report now correctly lists Johnson as a non-participant for the second day in a row, putting the left guard's status in question for Thursday's game against the Broncos.

Johnson was arguably the team's most consistent offensive lineman in his rookie season playing 99 percent of the offensive snaps while shoring up a right guard spot that had been problematic for years. The 23-year-old did incur seven penalties including four holding, but the hope is a switch to left guard, his more natural position, and being located inbetween stalwarts Rashawn Slater and Corey Linsley, will mask any sort of deficiencies along the left side of the offensive line.
