2025 Fantasy Outlook
Fitzpatrick was seemingly marked for greatness about five years ago, and while it took a little time for him to reach an elite level, he got there in 2022 when he won his first major. Not satisfied with his accomplishments in 2022, Fitzpatrick had an even better season in 2023, capturing two wins and over $8 million in earnings. 2024 was a different story, however, as he failed to win and only posted three top-10s all season. In the end, his earnings had dropped by over 50%, and while that's bad news for Fitzpatrick, it's great news for those interested in him for salary cap purposes this season. Fitzpatrick isn't quite a "must-have" at this number, but he deserves a lot of consideration as he's bound to bounce back this season. Read Past Outlooks
Wins third DP World Tour Championship
Fitzpatrick defeated Rory McIlroy in a playoff to win the DP World Tour Championship following a six-under 66 in the final round.
ANALYSIS
Fitzpatrick put together a very impressive bogey-free final round to take the lead in the clubhouse. Some late heroics by McIlroy in the form of an eagle on the 72nd hole would be enough to force a playoff, however. It would be McIlroy who blinked first in extra holes and carded a bogey, while par from Fitzpatrick was good enough to give him his third DP World Tour Championship title (2016, 2020). The Englishman would close the season third in the Race to Dubai standings. Fitzpatrick's 2025 season would be one of great perseverance. He did not finish top-10 in any event until a T8 at the PGA Championship in mid-May, but his second half of the year was extremely impressive. Fitzpatrick would collect top-10 finishes in eight of his final 12 starts. He's got all kinds of momentum going into 2026.

Expectations were high for Fitzpatrick coming off a 2021-22 campaign where he won the U.S. Open. He ended up putting together a pretty nice season earning a playoff victory at the RBC Heritage along with six top-10s. Other than that win, his only other top-five was a T2 at the BMW Championship. Fitzpatrick's added length has turned him into a contender at nearly every type of venue, and his putting and short game combination is among the best in the world. Ranking at 116th in SG: Approach and 132nd in GIR percentage is concerning, however, and is a big part of the reason he was a bit more inconsistent than some of the other top players.
