2025 Fantasy Outlook
In the second year of his eight-year contract extension, Anderson turned in the best season of his career. He posted career highs across the board with 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) in 77 regular-season games, averaging 22:41 of ice time. His niche on the Kings is as a top-four shutdown defenseman, a role that he played well during the regular season. That won't equate to much more in terms of points production since he lacks power-play time, which he's not expected to get much of in 2025-26 as long as Drew Doughty and Brandt Clarke stay healthy. Anderson will get plenty of hits and blocks -- he had over 100 of each in three straight seasons -- but it remains to be seen if his offensive ceiling is much higher than what he’s displayed in his career so far. In deep slump
Anderson has been limited to one assist over his last 21 games after going scoreless in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Anderson's point drought is now at 14 contests. The 26-year-old defenseman still provides steady shutdown minutes in a top-four role, but this quarter of the season has seen his scoring pace plummet. He's at eight points, 40 shots on net, 55 hits, 74 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 49 appearances.

2020
Signed to a new eight-year, $33 million deal in July 2023, Anderson again resumed his top-pairing role alongside Drew Doughty for the Kings last season. His overall numbers -- two goals, 16 assists, 18 points, 89 shots on goal, 129 hits, 129 blocks and a plus-18 rating -- were right in line with the prior year. Anderson will play the entirety of this upcoming season at age 25 and is a key cog for Los Angeles, but it's not a role that results in fantasy value regardless of your format.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could play Monday
Anderson, who has been sidelined with an upper-body injury, might be ready to return versus the Islanders on Monday, Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period reports.
ANALYSIS
Anderson has been out of action since Feb. 22 versus the Predators, a stretch of eight games on the shelf due to his upper-body issue. Considering the blueliner has managed just one point in his last 15 contests, few fantasy managers figure to be significantly impacted by his return, though he racked up 25 hits and 29 blocked shots over those 15 games.
