2025 Fantasy Outlook
Another injury-plagued season limited Carrier to 43 games, in which he had 11 points and 156 hits during the 2024-25 regular season. The winger has been a bottom-six fixture throughout his career, so don't expect a sudden surge of offense. Carrier's heavy playing style also contributes to his injury risk -- he's never played in more than 71 regular-season games in any campaign. Still, he's a good fit for the Hurricanes' high-energy system, which explains why they signed him to a six-year deal last summer. Look for Carrier to peak around 20 points with plenty of hits and little else. Read Past Outlooks

Pots goal in Tuesday's win
Carrier scored a goal on four shots, added two PIM and levied three hits in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
ANALYSIS
Carrier has started 2025-26 with a goal and an assist over three appearances. He's also posted nine hits, five shots and a plus-3 rating while filling a role on the Hurricanes' third line. Carrier's production is mostly in the physical parts of the game, but he can chip in a little depth scoring as well. Even when Carolina shuffles the forward groups, Carrier is unlikely to escape the bottom six.

A pair of upper-body injuries that included multiple stints on long-term injured reserve meant Carrier was only able to suit up in 39 regular-season games last year. Even when he was on the ice, the 29-year-old winger wasn't particularly productive with six goals, two assists and 65 shots while averaging 11:10 of ice time. That didn't discourage the Hurricanes from handing out a six-year deal for the Quebec native, though it is fairly cost-controlled at just a $2 million cap hit. If he can stay healthy - which is far from guaranteed considering her has only reached the 70-game mark once in his eight-year NHL career, Carrier could challenge for the 30-point threshold, but 20 seems more likely given his injury woes.
