Updating a previous report, Quinonez has indeed been removed from his scheduled fight against Adrian Yanez at UFC Vegas 111 on Saturday. Per Nolan King of USA Today, Quinonez will be unable to compete due to visa issues.
ANALYSIS
The specific travel issues may still be unclear, and that means that it's unknown if or when Quinonez may be able to fight again before the end of 2025. The UFC will remain in search of a short-notice replacement to fight Yanez on Saturday's card.

Quinonez lost to Raoni Barcelos via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:04 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Quinonez had a real chance to win this fight if he didn't tap out. He was up two rounds on one scorecard, while the other two judges had it tied at a round apiece. Cristian seemed comfortable, hanging step-for-step with Barcelos in what was a back-and-forth wrestling battle. By and large, he did an excellent job of shutting down the grappling game of Barcelos, as the Brazilian landed just 2-of-12 takedown attempts, but the final successful try led to the rear-naked choke that ended the fight. Quinonez has now lost two straight, both via submission.

Quinonez will fight Raoni Barcelos at UFC Mexico on Feb. 24, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a swift loss to Kyung Ho Kang in June, Quinonez will get a chance to get back in the win column. Though Quinonez may not have much momentum, Barcelos has lost four of his last five fights dating back to June 2021.
Quickly taps out in Vegas

Quinonez lost to Kyung Ho Kang via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:25 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a wild, back-and-forth brawl for as long as it lasted. Quinonez had his moments in the early going before getting cracked by Kang, quickly giving up his back in the process. The latter responded with a rear-naked choke, and Quinonez had no choice but to quickly tap out. A product of Dana White's Contender Series, Quinonez made his company debut last September, knocking out Khalid Tafa in just over three minutes. This was a setback, but the 27-year-old should be back in the Octagon in fairly short order.
