Second underdog to snatch contract
Santos defeated Will Currie via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of five fighters to earn an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Santos didn't get much from his opponent here, who often times simply wouldn't engage, limiting himself to leg kicks and defensive tie-up attempts when the two fighters were standing. When it was all said and done, Santos doubled the significant strike total of his opponent (85 to 41), logged one takedown and recorded slightly more control time.
