Upcoming fight called off
Light HeavyweightUFC
September 25, 2025
Aslan's fight at UFC Perth on Saturday has been canceled after his opponent, Junior Tafa, suffered an injury.
ANALYSIS
Aslan was in line to get back into the Octagon after suffering a loss against Billy Elekana, but he'll need to wait a bit longer for a chance to bounce back after his scheduled bout was called off.
Quick turnaround scheduled
Light HeavyweightUFC
August 5, 2025
Aslan is scheduled to compete against Junior Tafa in a light heavyweight fight at UFC Perth on Sept. 27, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

No-shows Abu Dhabi defeat
Light HeavyweightUFC
July 26, 2025
Aslan lost to Billy Elekana via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Perhaps we'll find out post-fight that Aslan was dealing with some sort of injury or illness. If not, there's no way to defend this performance. Entering as a -275 favorite, Ibo stood around for 15 minutes and did nothing. He landed just 28 significant strikes in what was a 15-minute kickboxing match. That's not to say Elekana and his 28 significant strikes landed were much better, but Billy at least tried to make things happen. Aslan did not. Ibo has lost back-to-back fights in a span of five months, negating all the good will he built up with a pair of knockout wins to begin his UFC run.
Elekana fight at Abu Dhabi
Light HeavyweightUFC
May 13, 2025
Aslan is scheduled to compete against Billy Elekana in a light heavyweight fight at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Aslan will look to get back into winning ways after his first-round submission loss to Ion Cutelaba in February. Before then, the former had a strong 2-0 with finishes over opponents Anton Turkalj (third-round TKO) and Raffael Cerqueira (first-round TKO).
Suffers first UFC defeat
Light HeavyweightUFC
February 22, 2025
Aslan lost to Ion Cutelaba via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 2:51 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Aslan is now three fights into his UFC run, and it's quite clear he's going to employ the same game plan every single time out. Ibo steps into the Octagon and wings bombs in hopes he can get his opposition out of there in short order. It didn't happen here, as Cutelaba survived and landed a pair of takedowns which eventually led to the submission. Aslan is going to have to stay off of his back if he's going to have any prayer moving forward. He drops to 2-1 with the company.
