Shockingly defeated at UFC Noche
FeatherweightUFC
September 13, 2025
Silva lost to Diego Lopes via TKO (punches) at 4:48 of Round 2 at UFC Noche on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
It's a shocking result on multiple levels. A winner of each of his first five UFC fights, all via stoppage, Silva entered as a -250 favorite over Lopes. Then he found himself mounted just moments into the fight and was supremely lucky to survive Round 1. Silva seemed to get back on track in Round 2 and was pulling ahead in points, at which time Lopes cracked him with a spinning shot that sent him sprawling to the mat and eventually resulted in referee Mike Beltran stepping in. Silva is a guy that fights with a ton of emotion. As a result, his fight IQ isn't the best at times, and that badly hurt him here. The Fighting Nerds are one of the top teams in the game, but it's been a rough past seven days for the group, with Caio Borralho and Mauricio Ruffy losing last week and Silva falling here. On the bright side, Silva will at least take home a $50,000 bonus after this back-and-forth affair was ultimately awarded Fight of the Night honors.
Taking on Lopes in headliner
FeatherweightUFC
June 24, 2025
Silva will face Diego Lopes in a featherweight bout as the main event of Noche UFC on Sept. 13 in San Antonio, per Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca.
ANALYSIS
Silva has won his first five fights in the UFC, all of which have come via stoppage. It's hard to get off to a more impressive start in the promotion. Now, he'll get a chance at a fighter two years his senior -- and two UFC bouts more experienced -- in Lopes. As a headliner, this fight should be highly entertaining.
Fifth straight stoppage win
FeatherweightUFC
April 12, 2025
Silva defeated Bryce Mitchell via submission (ninja choke) at 3:52 of Round 2 at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
We've reached the point that we should probably just assume all members of the Fighting Nerds are going to win their respective fights impressively until proven otherwise. Silva has been killing it since officially joining the UFC roster back in January 2024, and this was his most impressive win to date. He stuffed 10-of-11 takedowns attempts and beat Mitchell up on the feet before clamping on the ninja choke in an instant to put him away. It would go on to win him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Silva is now 5-0 with the company, with all five wins coming via stoppage. The Brazilian has a loud, abrasive personality that is going to turn some people off, but his performances inside the Octagon have been elite thus far.
Gets his wish with Mitchell fight
FeatherweightUFC
February 27, 2025
Silva will take on Bryce Mitchell in a featherweight matchup at UFC 314 on April 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva has all the momentum in the world with four consecutive stoppage victories to start his UFC run, with the last two ending in post-fight bonuses to boot. He was able to capitalize on this momentum by calling out the controversial Bryce Mitchell following his first-round stoppage of Melsik Baghdasaryan in February. Mtichell has had a target on his back due to some recent controversial comments, so Silva was smart to call him out quickly, and his spot in the rankings could be on the line as well. Mitchell last fought in December with a stoppage win as a heavy favorite over Kron Gracie, but it had been a year between fights before that, as he was knocked out brutally by Josh Emmett in December of 2023. Mitchell's best asset is his wrestling game, but Silva will look to utilize his 80 percent takedown defense to keep this on the feet.
Fourth straight knockout win
FeatherweightUFC
February 22, 2025
Silva defeated Melsik Baghdasaryan via TKO (strikes) at 4:15 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
The Fighting Nerds team from Brazil has quickly developed into one of the top training camps in the sport, and Silva is one of the main reasons why. The 28-year-old just picked up his fourth straight knockout win since officially joining the UFC roster back in January 2024. It would also go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus on a night filled with other stoppages to compete with. Baghdasaryan is a tough opponent in the stand-up and Silva was able to put him away with relative ease. "Lord" is becoming a big star in short order and spent his post-fight interview calling out Bryce Mitchell. Considering Mitchell's recent controversial comments, it's a bout the company may look to book.
