Buday has withdrawn from his fight against Rizvan Kuniev that was scheduled for Dec. 7 at UFC 310, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The reason for Buday's withdrawal is unknown, and there is also no telling whether Kuniev will receive a new opponent and remain on the card. Buday will now have to wait a bit longer for his next chance to build momentum after taking down Andrei Arlovski in June.

From veteran to debutant

Buday is scheduled to compete against fellow heavyweight Rizvan Kuniev at UFC 310 in Paradise on Dec. 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Buday began his 2024 somewhat strong with a win over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski, albeit in unimpressive fashion and against a long-time veteran well past his prime. This time, Buday gets a UFC debutant who earned his contract through Dana White's Contender Series.
Wins UFC 303 snoozer

Buday defeated Andrei Arlovski via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC 303 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's the rare fight in which both men saw their stocks crater in the process. Arlovski is 45 years old and clearly at the end of the line, so it's a bit more understandable for him. There's no such defense for Buday. Martin "won" the total strike count by a 100-48 mark, but lost the significant strike count by a 41-30 margin. Neither man landed a takedown. In short, Buday was lucky to earn the decision in one of the most boring fights you will ever see. The 32-year-old Slovakian has zero momentum behind him despite the fact he is somehow 5-1 in his first six UFC bouts.

Buday's heavyweight fight against Andrei Arlovski was re-scheduled to UFC 303 on June 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Buday and Arlovski were orginally scheduled for the UFC Apex on June 15, but they'll now get to fight on the larger UFC 303 card. The 32-year-old Buday will look to knock off a former division champion in the 45-year-old Arlovksi.

Buday is scheduled to compete against Andrei Arlovski in a heavyweight fight at the UFC Apex on June 15, per Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
Buday will go from fighting a UFC debutant to one of the promotion's most experienced heavyweights. Arlovski has more than 40 UFC fights and a mid-2000s championship reign under his belt. As for Buday, he will look to prevent a losing streak and add a win over a champion onto his resume.
Not competitive in UFC 296 opener
HeavyweightUFC

Buday lost to Shamil Gaziev via TKO (punches) at 0:56 of Round 2 at UFC 296 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Buday wasn't the least bit competitive in a fight which went off as a pick 'em. Facing a debuting opponent in Gaziev, Buday never got a chance to employ his theoretical cardio advantage because he was on the retreat the second the opening bell rang. He landed just eight significant strikes in a bout that lasted nearly six minutes. Buday won each of his first four UFC fights, but all of those came against lower-end competition (Chris Barnett, Lukasz Brzeski, Jake Collier, Josh Parisian). If this is a sign of what's to come against better opposition, the 32-year-old is in a world of trouble moving forward.
