Low blow leads to no contest
Henry and Javid Basharat fought to a no-contest (accidental low blow) at 0:15 of Round 2 at UFC 294 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Another strange finish. Following a close first round that probably went Basharat's way, Henry got cracked with a kick that landed low. He immediately dropped to the ground in a massive amount of pain. Henry took the full five minutes, which no one seemingly ever does, and never came close to improving. At one point, the doctor entered the Octagon and told Henry it wasn't a direct groin shot and the blow shouldn't have caused this much damage. Well, it did, and if it didn't, Henry is one of the greatest actors of our time. The fight ended up being ruled a no-contest. Perhaps the UFC will try to book these two again in the not-too-distant future.

Fighting undefeated Basharat
Henry will fight Javid Basharat in a bantamweight bout at UFC Vegas 79 on Sept. 23, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Henry's next fight is against a bantamweight undefeated across his 14 bouts. Like Henry, both fighters have gone the distance in each of their three UFC fights so far, but with Henry going 2-1 instead of 3-0.

Barely gets by Tony Gravely
Henry defeated Tony Gravely via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was much closer than the numbers would leave you to believe. When all was said and done, Henry had a 190-90 edge in total strikes landed. He connected on the more impactful shots throughout the course of the bout. Yet, Gravely managed to hang around, aided by a pair of successful takedowns and some control time. Henry likely deserved the decision, but it would have by no means been a robbery had two of the three judges scored the fight for Gravely. It was a strong rebound effort from Victor on the heels of a dreadful unanimous decision loss to Raphael Assuncao last October. The 35-year-old California native has won three of his last four dating back to October 2021.

Hoping to bounce back against Gravely
Henry will take on Tony Gravely at UFC Vegas 71 on March 11, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was a massive favorite going into his most recent fight against Raphael Assuncao last October, but would end up getting blasted and losing by unanimous decision. Henry can not afford another performance like that in early March.

No-shows loss as huge favorite
Henry lost to Raphael Assuncao via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a potential career-altering defeat for Henry. He made his UFC debut this past January, taking a unanimous decision from Raoni Barcelos. He then entered as a -400 favorite here against the 40-year-old Assunaco, only to fall flat on his face. There's a case to be made Henry deserved what was a very close Round 1, but that's where the good times ended. Henry did an excellent job of pushing the pace the entire fight, but he somehow still managed to get off second in the vast majority of the striking exchanges between the two men. Having turned 35 years of age this past May, time clearly isn't on Henry's side.
