Guler had something of a breakout with Turkey at Euro 2024 prior to the 2024/25 season. However, given the depth of Real Madrid, he struggled to get on the pitch and barely surpassed 1,000 minutes in league play. He scored three times and added four assists, and maybe more impressively created 40 chances and took 39 shots in that limited time. He featured a significant amount in the Club World Cup under new manager Xabi Alonso, and while it may be a stretch to assume he's a guaranteed starter in the new season, it wouldn't be surprising if his numbers really jumped.
