Austin FC's first overall pick in their first MLS SuperDraft in 2021, Pereira earned himself a new contract extension this offseason. The deal keeps Pereira in Austin through next season with a team option for 2026. He's now played 2,000-plus minutes in each of the last three seasons, contributing four assists with some spot work on set pieces this past campaign. After Alexander Ring's option was declined, Pereira should have a more significant role in the midfield.
Signs contract extension
Pereira has signed a contract extension with Austin FC until the end of the 2027-28 MLS season Friday. The deal also includes an option for the 2028-29 campaign.
