Gil only managed to save about half the shots he faced on goal Saturday. This was his first appearance of the year, and his rustiness showed. Some of the strikes could have been prevented with sharper reactions, most were from rebound shots where he did not effectively deal with the first shot. He is usually on the bench as backup to regular starter, Conan Ledesma. From five appearances (four starts) he posted just one clean sheet this season.
