Erling Haaland

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Haaland was once again the club's leading scorer in his third season with City, providing a typical season by the Norwegian's standards. However, his 22 goals in the league were still his lowest since joining despite seeing more pitch time than his sophomore campaign, with his goal tally having decreased every season with the club. While 22 goals in a season isn't a bad tally, the striker reached 36 in his debut campaign, a mark he will now have to attempt to meet every season. He finished third in the Golden Boot race and seems unlikely to let up any ground moving forward unless hindered by injuries. With a handful of world-class players around him and more than enough prolific distributors of the ball, a minimum of 20 goals seems to be the floor for the forward, with the ceiling only as high as he sets it.

One shot, one goal
Haaland scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Sunday's 1-0 win against Brentford.
ANALYSIS
Haaland only recorded one shot Sunday, but was efficient with his chances, recording a goal in the ninth minute of the contest. The Norwegian has now gone seven straight games with a goal, last not scoring in a match when facing Tottenham on Aug. 23. That said, the forward has recorded nine goals this season and is only one from double-digit goals this season in only seven appearances.

Real Madrid to make new approach?
Real Madrid are expected to make an approach to sign Haaland if they don't sign Vinicius Junior to a new contract, according to SPORT.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old forward is one of the top options to replace Vinicius Junior at the Bernabeu, as it seems Real Madrid aren't willing to meet the Brazilian's contract demands. For what it's worth, club president Florentino Perez is a long-term admirer of Haaland, although Manchester City aren't expected to entertain offers for the Norwegian star.
