Junior Firpo
29-Year-Old
Betis
La Liga
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Firpo returns to La Liga after an extremely successful stint with Leeds United, especially last season, where he tallied four goals and 10 assists in the Championship. That sort of production isn't likely to translate directly with a major step up in competition, but Firpo should still offer plenty of upside going forward. Betis allowed a little over one goal per match last season and should be generally competent defensively, adding some nice clean sheet upside for Firpo as well. The only uncertainty is if he can totally displace Ricardo Rodriguez for the starting left-back job, though at the very least he should see a split of the time.
Added to squad
Firpo (hamstring) is on the bench for Sunday's match against Girona.
ANALYSIS
Firpo was set for his return and is with the team Sunday, as the defender earns a spot on the bench. This is solid news for the club, as he is serving in more of a rotational role for the club, starting in seven of his eight appearances and is likely to see decent time moving forward.
