When Muriel made the switch from Serie A to MLS, many touted him as immediately being one of the best strikers in the league. That certainly didn't play out as he was held to just five goals. He did add seven assists but in the back half of the season he was relegated to the bench, making just 14 starts all year. Duncan McGuire will be sidelined early in the 2025 season, which could perhaps give Muriel his best shot to try and take the starting striker job from Ramiro Enrique and maybe find a spark or two.
