Set for shoulder surgery
MBorussia Dortmund
OUT
September 2, 2022
Dahoud will have surgery to repair his dislocated shoulder and will be out of action until November. Manager Edin Terzic told reporters, "Unfortunately, Mo won't play again until November. He gave everything, unfortunately his shoulder jumped out for the second time. It just didn't work anymore, which is why Mo decided after consulting the doctors to have a shoulder surgery."
ANALYSIS
Dahoud's absence will open the door for Salih Ozcan to cement himself in the starting XI for the next two months while Dahoud is on the shelf. Once cleared to play, Dahoud should be in the mix to reclaim his spot in the starting XI, though he may need to settle for an appearance or two off the bench first due to his extended absence.
