Ntep announced to France Bleu Armorique that he has decided to retire from professional soccer. "My career, for me, is over. I have moved on in my mind and I have other projects. I enjoyed what I experienced, I enjoyed Vietnam. But for me, football today is just good memories but it's over.", he said.
ANALYSIS
Ntep announced Thursday his retirement from professional soccer after struggling to find a club since leaving his club of HCMC FC in Vietnam in March 2024. His career was hindered by recurrent injuries in recent years, but he will be remembered as a highly regarded talent in his youth. During his time at Stade Rennais, he scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists in 87 appearances. Ntep also had stints in Germany, Turkey, Portugal, and finally Vietnam.
