Krauss was forced off in the 81st minute of the game against Kiel due to a head injury, but it was revealed to be not serious. He is expected to train individually on Tuesday, the club announced. Krauss is likely to feature in the derby against Dortmund on Saturday.

Krauss was forced off in the second half of Sunday's match against Holstein Kiel with a head injury.

Krauss has been loaned from Mainz to Bochum after ending his first-half loan spell with Luton Town, his parent club announced. "Tom got the match practice he was hoping for at Luton. He was a key player in the six months and was involved in numerous goals - so the loan to England fulfilled everything we hoped for. But now Tom has the opportunity to return to Germany and play in the Bundesliga again with Bochum. He came to us with the request to be loaned to VfL for the next few months, and we granted his wish. We found a solution with Luton Town FC and VfL Bochum. We wish Tom all the best for his time in Bochum," said Mainz sports director Niko Bungert.

Krauss was left out of Saturday's friendly against Montpellier due to ankle issues, according to his club.

Krauss is available for Sunday's trip to Heidenheim after serving a one-match ban against Koln.
