Clippers, Heat Collide In Battle Of Playoff Hopefuls
The Miami Heat will host the Los Angeles Clippers at FTX Arena on Thursday.

The Heat (11-14) are coming off a 116-96 loss at home against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. Tyler Herro paced the Heat with 34 points, supplementing them with six assists, three rebounds and one steal. Bam Adebayo generated a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double that included two assists and one block. Max Strus delivered 11 points, four boards, two assists and one block. Victor Oladipo netted nine points, two rebounds and two assists in his season debut. Miami has gone 8-5 at home this season, but the team has been stumbling of late with two losses in a row and three in its last four contests.

The Heat are listing up to eight players as game-time decisions for this game, a list that includes regular rotation pieces such as Jimmy Butler (rest), Tyler Herro (ankle) and Max Strus (shoulder). Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent (knee) and Omer Yurtseven (ankle) are out.

The Clippers (14-12) are coming off a woeful performance Wednesday and suffered a 116-111 defeat against the Orlando Magic in a game that had to be decided following overtime. Seven Clippers scored in double digits here but neither surpassed the 20-point mark, with Terance Mann recording 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Kawhi Leonard had 14 points and seven rebounds, while Ivica Zubac had a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double. Paul George ended with 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Nicolas Batum finished with 16 points and five assists, and Reggie Jackson ended with 15 points. The Clippers have gone 7-6 on the road this season.

John Wall (knee), Marcus Morris (illness), Norman Powell (groin) and Luke Kennard (calf) are all game-time calls for Thursday’s game.
