Wizards, Timberwolves Face On Monday
The Washington Wizards will host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Capital One Arena on Monday.

The Wizards (10-10) fell to .500 after another loss, this time against the Boston Celtics by a 130-121 score, on Sunday. Washington has now lost its two games against the Celtics this season, and it’s a complicated turn of events for the team since the Wizards have now dropped three in a row while also falling to 3-6 on the road this season. Bradley Beal was Washington’s top scorer with 30 points, four assists and two steals, while Kristaps Porzingis ended with 21 points and four boards. Monte Morris dished out 16 points and eight assists, and Deni Avdija delivered 10 points. Taj Gibson added 12 points off the bench.

Kyle Kuzma (back), Rui Hachimura (ankle) and Johnny Davis (groin) are out, while Delon Wright continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

The Timberwolves (10-9) suffered a disappointing defeat against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, dropping the game by a massive 23-point differential (137-114). Anthony Edwards had 26 points to lead Minnesota, and he also added four rebounds and four assists. Karl-Anthony Towns posted 21 points, four rebounds and four assists. D’Angelo Russell notched 15 points with six dimes. Jaylen Nowell delivered 16 points, three rebounds and three assists. Minnesota has gone 5-4 on the road this season and enters this game on a two-game losing streak, but the team has still gone 4-2 over its last six contests.

Jordan McLaughlin (calf) and Jaden McDaniels (illness) are game-time calls for Monday, while Taurean Prince (shoulder) has been ruled out.
