Nets Host Magic on Monday
The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Orlando Magic at Barclay's Center on Monday.

The Magic (5-15) look like one of the worst teams in the NBA, posting a 1-8 record on the road. They've been almost just as bad in their home arena, and it looks like another rebuilding year for this young group. They also come into this matchup amid a four-game losing streak, losing by 30 points on Sunday night. A shorthanded Sixers team handed them that beatdown, and it's clear this young group needs some leadership. Cole Anthony is expected to return from his oblique injury in the next week, and that'd be a nice start. This team has been playing without a point guard for most of the season, and that's difficult in today's NBA, even if they do have the tallest starting unit in the NBA.

The Nets (10-11) have been better over recent weeks, posting an 8-5 record across their last 13 games. That directly correlates with the resurgence of Ben Simmons, who's back to his triple-double ways over the last two weeks. Having him return to the dynamic stud we saw in Philly is a huge boost for this club, and it's just a matter of time before he's clicking with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The next step is to find a third scorer, and fans are hopeful it'll be Seth Curry. He certainly showed that on Sunday, dropping 29 points on 11-of-15 from the field in that victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. They can't expect that every night but 15-20 points from him off the bench would change everything for this club.

Brooklyn has won six of their last eight games over Orlando in this series.
