Pistons Shock Heat, 116-96
The Detroit Pistons defeated the Miami Heat, 116-96, at FTX Arena on Tuesday night.

The Pistons (7-19) came into Tuesday's game as a significant road underdog, and early on, it appeared that label was well deserved. The Heat (11-14) held a 25-20 lead through one, but Detroit chipped two points from its deficit by halftime and then outscored Miami by a 31-23 margin in the third quarter. However, it was the final period where the visitors shined, enjoying a 38-23 advantage in the final period to close out the 20-point victory. The Pistons got it done with razor-sharp shooting, draining 49.4 percent of their attempts, including 46.3 percent from behind the arc.

Bojan Bogdanovic led the Pistons with 31 points, complementing them with five assists, three rebounds and three steals. Alec Burks furnished 18 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Saddiq Bey delivered 14 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals. Isaiah Stewart and Cory Joseph generated matching 11-point tallies, with Stewart also pulling down 11 rebounds and Joseph dishing out five assists. Jaden Ivey supplied 10 points, three assists and two rebounds.

Tyler Herro paced the Heat with 34 points, supplementing them with six assists, three rebounds and one steal. Bam Adebayo generated a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double that included two assists and one block. Max Strus delivered 11 points, four boards, two assists and one block. Victor Oladipo netted nine points, two rebounds and two assists in his season debut.

The Pistons remain on the road and visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, while the Heat remains home and hosts the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.
