Grizzlies Notch Fifth Straight Win
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Detroit Pistons, 114-103, at FedEx Forum on Friday evening.

The Grizzlies jumped out to a strong start and led by seven, after one quarter. The Pistons kept it close to start the second, but the hosts regained control and rallied to an eight-point lead at the break. The Grizzlies turned it up a notch in the third and outscored the visitors by 12 points in the quarter to make it a 20-point game heading into the final quarter. The Pistons put up a decent effort in the fourth, but the Grizzlies were able to cruise to their fifth straight win. This marks the second straight loss for the Pistons.

Jaren Jackson led the Grizzlies with 20 points, five rebounds, four blocks and two steals, in 30 minutes. Ja Morant totaled 15 points, six rebounds, 12 assists, three steals and a block, while Brandon Clarke added 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists and steal. The Grizzlies shot 48 percent from the field, including 9-of-32 from deep.

Meanwhile, Bojan Bogdanovic led the Pistons with 19 points and four rebounds, in 22 minutes. Jalen Duren tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Isaiah Stewart finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. The Pistons shot 40 percent from the field, including 11-of-35 from long range.

The Pistons (7-21) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Pistons on Sunday. The Grizzlies (17-9) play host to the Hawks on Monday.
