Grizzlies Hold Off Mavs For Third Straight Win
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Dallas Mavericks, 112-108, at FedEx Forum on Monday evening.

The game got out to a tight start as the Grizzlies led, 30-28, after one quarter. The score stayed tight in the second, but visitors managed to squeeze in front with a three-point lead at the break. The Mavericks kept the momentum going in the third and rallied to a 13-point lead heading into the final frame. The Grizzlies did not back down and outscored the visitors, 29-12, in the fourth to close out their third straight win. The Grizzlies are now 6-3 in nine games since Ja Morant has been sidelined.

Jaren Jackson led the Grizzlies with 28 points, four rebounds and a block, in 23 minutes. Santi Aldama followed up with 22 points, 14 rebounds and two assists, while Desmond Bane finished with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal. The Grizzlies shot 46.1 percent from the field, including 10-of-35 from deep.

Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving led the Mavs with 28 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal, in 33 minutes. Christian Wood tallied 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while Jaden Hardy added 20 points, three rebounds, four assists and a steal. The Mavs shot 46.4 percent from the field, including 11-of-36 from long range.

The Mavericks (36-36) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Warriors on Wednesday. The Grizzlies (44-27) play host to the Rockets on Wednesday.
