Grizzlies Bounce Clippers In Memphis
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Los Angeles Clippers, 108-94, at FedEx Forum Friday evening.

The Clippers jumped out to a strong start with a, 34-21, lead after one quarter, but the Grizzlies responded in the second and rallied to claim a four-point lead at the break. The hosts carried the momentum into the third and added another 10 points to their advantage to make it a 14-point deficit heading into the final frame. The Clippers could not make any progress in the fourth, as the Grizzlies closed out the home win.

Desmond Bane led the Grizzlies with 22 points, three rebounds, nine assists and three steals, in 38 minutes. Luke Kennard followed up with 17 points and six rebounds, while Xavier Tillman totaled 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. The Grizzlies shot 44.8 percent from the field, including 9-of-33 from deep.

Meanwhile, Norman Powell led the Clippers with 16 points and two assists, off the bench. Ivica Zubac followed up with 15 points, 15 rebounds, two steals and a block, while Russell Westbrook tallied four points, four rebounds, 11 assists, a steal and a block. The Clippers shot 37.8 percent from the field, including 11-of-35 from long range.

The Clippers (41-37) will look to bounce back as they take on the Pelicans in New Orleans on Saturday. The Grizzlies (49-28) clash with the Bulls in Chicago on Sunday.
