Thunder Outlast Timberwolves In OKC
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the host Minnesota Timberwolves, 135-128, at Target Center on Saturday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start as the Thunder led 32-29 after one quarter. The Thunder kept the upper had through most of the second and pushed their lead to six, heading into the break. The Timberwolves turned it up a notch in the third and outscored the visitors by 10, to take a four-point advantage into the final frame. However, the Thunder responded in the fourth and took control down the stretch to secure their second straight win.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 33 points, six assists, three steals and a block, in 35 minutes. Josh Giddey followed up with 21 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks, while Luguentz Dort added 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal. The Thunder shot 52 percent from the field, including 11-of-26 from deep.

Meanwhile, D'Angelo Russell led the Timberwolves with 27 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal, in 36 minutes. Anthony Edwards tallied 26 points, three rebounds, four assists and six steals, while Jaylen Nowell added 21 points, three rebounds and two assists, off the bench. The Timberwolves shot 53 percent from the field, including 10-of-30 from long range.

The Timberwolves (11-12) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Pacers on Wednesday. The Thunder (10-13) take on the Hawks in Atlanta on Monday.
