Nets Topple Magic, 109-102
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Orlando Magic, 109-102, at Barclays Center on Monday night.

The Nets (11-11) came into the contest as clear home favorites and looking to finally get back to .500, but matters didn't get off to a very good start with the Magic (5-16) jumping out to a 28-23 lead through one. However, Brooklyn bounced back during the middle periods to outscore Orlando, 64-48, to take an 11-point advantage into the final period. The visitors' quarter-opening 11-4 run did tighten up the contest, but Nicolas Claxton eventually sealed the victory by scoring the final three points after the hosts' advantage was back down to four points.

Bol Bol and Paolo Banchero co-led the Magic with 24-point tallies, with Bol adding six rebounds and Banchero contributing five assists and four boards among their other contributions. Franz Wagner supplied 21 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Gary Harris delivered 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal.

Kevin Durant paced the Nets with 45 points, supplementing them with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. Kyrie Irving registered 20 points, three assists, two rebounds and one block. Claxton generated a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double that included one assist and three blocks. Joe Harris matched Claxton's scoring and added four rebounds and one block.

The Magic remain home and welcome in the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, while the Nets remain home and take on the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night as well.
