Nets Edge Hawks, 120-116
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 120-116, at Barclays Center on Friday night.

The Nets (15-12) came into the contest as solid home favorites, and they validated that status early by taking a 36-30 lead through one. The Hawks (13-13) were able to knock off two points from their deficit before halftime, but Brooklyn had regained a six-point advantage going into the final period. However, Atlanta fought back to take several leads in the fourth quarter -- including by four with 5:29 remaining -- before the home squad's 17-9 game-ending run and Kevin Durant's pair of free throws with 6.1 seconds left sealed the narrow victory.

Trae Young led the Hawks with 33 points, adding nine assists, three steals and one block. Bogdan Bogdanovic furnished 31 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Clint Capela generated a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double that included one assist, one steal and one block. Trent Forrest delivered 11 points, three assists, two boards and two steals. A.J. Griffin supplied 10 points, two boards, two assists and one steal.

Durant paced the Nets with 34 points, supplementing them with four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. Kyrie Irving generated a 33-point, 11-rebound double-double that included three assists. T.J. Warren registered 14 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals. Seth Curry netted 11 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal. Joe Harris compiled 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

The Hawks head back home to host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday evening, while the Nets visit the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.
