Pacers Come From Behind, Get Past Wizards
The Indiana Pacers defeated the Washington Wizards, 121-111, at Gainbridge Life Fieldhouse on Friday.

The Pacers (14-12) moved to 8-4 at home with their victory Friday, and while they didn’t have a good start against the Wizards (11-15), they ultimately secured the victory as Washington now fell to 3-10 on the road. It was a slow start for Indiana, though, as the Wizards jumped out to a 33-31 lead in the first quarter, but it was all Pacers since then. Indiana won the remaining three quarters and grabbed the lead at halftime following a 38-32 score in the second quarter, but they backed that up in the second half. Indiana won the final two quarters, 26-24 and 26-22, respectively, as they cruised their way to victory in the final minutes.

Buddy Hield was the top scorer for the Pacers here since he ended with 28 points, four assists, three steals and two rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton finished with 23 points and 11 assists. Myles Turner delivered 14 points and six boards. Bennedict Mathurin recorded 18 points and eight rebounds off the bench, and Oshae Brissett notched 16 points and eight boards off the bench as well. Indiana shot 50.6 percent from the field and 43.9 percent from three-point range.

Kristaps Porzingis posted 29 points and nine rebounds to lead the Wizards, while Kyle Kuzma notched 27 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Deni Avdija recorded 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while Jordan Goodwin posted 19 points off the bench. Washington shot 53.2 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from beyond the arc.
