Portland Trail Blazers at San Antonio Spurs

Trail Blazers Notch Third Straight Win
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 128-112, at AT&T Center on Wednesday evening.

The Blazers jumped out to a great start with an 11-point lead after one quarter. They kept the pressure on in the second and outscored the hosts 34-29, to a 16-point game at the break. The Spurs came out stronger in the third and chipped away at the deficit to cut it back to an eight-point game heading into the final frame. The Trail Blazers reclaimed control in the fourth and confidently closed out their third straight win, while this marks the end of the Spurs' three-game win streak.

Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 37 points, five rebounds, eight assists and two steals, in 36 minutes. Anfernee Simons followed up with 23 points, three rebounds and four assists, while Jerami Grant tallied 18 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. The Trial Blazers shot 60.5 percent from the field, including 18-of-40 from deep.

Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 25 points, seven rebounds and two assists, in 33 minutes. Doug McDermott followed up with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting off the bench, while Keita Bates-Diop added 13 points four rebounds and two steals. The Spurs shot 46 percent from the field, including 11-of-29 from long range.

The Spurs (9-19) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Heat on Saturday. The Trail Blazers (16-12) take on the Mavericks in Dallas on Friday.
