Knicks Cruise To Easy Win Over Pistons
The New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons, 140-110, at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday.

The Knicks (10-11) came close to a .500 record with an impressive performance, as they didn't have problems getting past a struggling Pistons (5-17) squad. New York grabbed an early lead and led by eight points following the first quarter (40-32), but they would pull away for good in the second quarter after notching a 30-24 score to build a double-digit lead at halftime. The Knicks didn't show down and outscored their rivals by a massive 38-21 margin in the third quarter, meaning the game was all but over with 12 minutes left. The Knicks ended up cruising their way in the fourth quarter to win by an expressive 30-point margin.

Julius Randle had an impressive performance for the Knicks and ended with 36 points, but he also added seven rebounds and five assists. Three different starters scored at last 16 points in Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett and Quentin Grimes. Brunson also had five assists, Barrett notched four boards and three dimes, and Grimes pulled down six boards. Immanuel Quickley returned off the bench and posted a strong 15-point game while also adding four assists.

Isaiah Stewart was the best player for the Pistons here since he ended with 19 points and five rebounds, while both Bojan Bogdanovic and Marvin Bagley III finished with 13-point performances, with Bagley III also adding seven rebounds and two assists. Killian Hayes finished with 11 points and six assists. Saddiq Bey and Cory Joseph both ended up with 11-point performances.

Mavericks Top Warriors As Doncic Dominates
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Golden State Warriors, 116-113, at American Airlines Center on Tuesday.

The Mavericks (10-10) and the Warriors (11-11) played a tight game that went down to the wire, but in the end, the Mavericks ended securing the victory. Dallas looked good in the early going and raced out to a 36-24 lead in the first quarter, but the Warriors responded with a strong defensive effort, limiting Dallas to just 19 points and winning the second quarter by a 30-19 score. Dallas won the third quarter by a 37-33 score and looked in control, but the Warriors kept fighting and won the final quarter by a 26-24 score. Ultimately, though, that was not enough for Golden State and Dallas ended up with the win.

Luka Doncic posted his league-leading fifth triple-double of the season and finished with 41 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Tim Hardaway delivered 22 points and four rebounds, and Spencer Dinwiddie finished with 14 points and two assists. No other Dallas starter scored in double digits, but Josh Green posted 12 points coming off the bench.

Stephen Curry finished with 32 points, five rebounds and five assists to lead the Warriors in this loss. No other Golden State player scored more than 20 points. Jonathan Kuminga had a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double off the bench, while Draymond Green posted 12 points, six rebounds and four assists. Andrew Wiggins had 10 points, and Kevon Looney ended with 11 points and six rebounds. Klay Thompson struggled badly and only had five points while shooting 2-for-9 from the field.

Clippers Defeat Trail Blazers, 118-112
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the host Portland Trail Blazers, 118-112, at Moda Center on Tuesday.

There were 11 ties and 12 lead changes in this game, with Los Angeles riding a 36-17 fourth quarter to their comeback win. Portland actually had a game-high 18-point lead late in the third quarter but they ended things on a 45-21 run to overcome that deficit. The Clippers out-rebounded the Trail Blazers, 48-43. In addition, Los Angeles shot 23-of-28 from the free-throw line while Portland connected on just 11-of-15. They also outscored them in the paint, 50-38.

The Clippers (13-9) were led by Norman Powell, providing 32 points, four rebounds and two assists off the bench. Reggie Jackson led the starters with 24 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists. Ivica Zubac totaled 12 points, 13 rebounds and two steals, while Terance Mann tallied 11 points, five rebounds and three assists.

The Trail Blazers (11-10) were led by Anfernee Simons, accruing 37 points, two rebounds and four assists. Jerami Grant generated 32 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Jusuf Nurkic collected 13 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks, while Justise Winslow had 10 points, 13 rebounds and two assists.

Both teams play the second half of a back-to-back set on Wednesday, with Portland traveling to face the Los Angeles Lakers and LA traveling to face the Utah Jazz.
