Nuggets Outlast Lakers In L.A.
The Denver Nuggets defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers, 119-108, in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday evening.

The Nuggets jumped out to a strong start and led 32-20 after one quarter. The Lakers brought a better effort in the second and managed to trim it down to a three-point game heading into the break. Both sides came out evenly matched in the third and despite Nikola Jokic sitting for most of the quarter due to foul trouble, the Nuggets maintained the upper hand and carried a two-point lead into the final frame. The Lakers kept up the fight and grabbed a brief lead early in the fourth, but the Nuggets reclaimed control, closing the game on a 26-15 run to secure the road win and claim a 3-0 series lead.

Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 37 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals, in 42 minutes. Nikola Jokic followed up with 24 points, six rebounds, eight assists and a steal, while Michael Porter tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and a steal. The Nuggets shot 50 percent from the field, including 17-of-41 from deep.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 28 points, 18 rebounds and two blocks, in 42 minutes. LeBron James added 23 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists, while Austin Reaves tallied 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal. The Lakers shot 45.2 percent from the field, including 10-of-32 from long range.

Game 4 is scheduled for Monday in Los Angeles.
