Heat Dominate To Earn 3-0 Series Lead
The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics, 128-102, at Kaseya Center in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday. The Heat lead the series by 3-0.

The Heat are just one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since the abbreviated 2019-20 season. Coincidentally, they also eliminated the Celtics in that playoff run. Miami already pulled an upset in the first two games of the series by winning both contests at TD Garden, but they kept the momentum going playing at home. Miami enjoyed an impressive start and raced to a 30-22 lead in the first quarter. The Heat made it a double-digit contest following a 31-24 score, and they didn’t step off the gas in the second half. Miami pulled away for good in the third quarter after a 32-17 score. The game was all but over with 12 minutes left. Boston won the final quarter by a 39-35 score, but that was not enough to sniff a comeback. The win leaves the Celtics with their backs against the wall, as they need to win the four remaining games to avoid elimination. Game 4 will be played in Miami on Tuesday.

Gabe Vincent led the Heat with an impressive effort, as he notched 29 points, three assists and two rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Bam Adebayo delivered 13 points and three rebounds. Max Strus recorded 10 points and grabbed three boards. Duncan Robinson delivered 22 points off the bench. Caleb Martin posted 18 points, four assists and three rebounds. Miami shot an impressive 56.8 percent from the field.

Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown notched 12 points, six rebounds and two assists. Grant Williams and Payton Pritchard each had 12 points coming off the bench as well. Pritchard also dished out five assists. Luke Kornet notched 11 points. Boston only shot a woeful 39.8 percent from the field.
