2024 Fantasy Outlook
Dunn has a strong reputation for being an above-average defender at multiple positions, and that's the role he'll probably fill in a star-studded Suns roster that features Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal as primary offensive options. The rookie out of Virginia was the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, but his path to regular minutes is quite crowded, so it wouldn't be surprising if he opens the season playing in the G League. Even if he cracks the Opening Night roster, don't expect Dunn to handle many offensive responsibilities soon. His playing style and the contending situation the Suns are in conspire heavily against his upside, so fantasy managers would be wise to target other potential players. Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Dunn began his high school career at powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. As a junior, he transferred to Long Island Lutheran High School, where he played for two years. After graduating, Dunn attended the Perkiomen School in Pennsylvania for a postgraduate year. There, he finished as a four-star recruit and committed to play college basketball at Virginia. Dunn had a relatively quiet freshman campaign, playing just 12.9 minutes per contest over 31 appearances. However, he enjoyed a breakout season in 2023-24, averaging 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in 27.5 minutes across 34 starts. The 6-foot-8 forward's 2.3 blocks per contest ranked 16th in the nation. Dunn was named to ACC All-Defensive Team and named to the Naismith Men's Defensive Player of the Year Watch List. Dunn's elite athleticism, prototypical size and instincts allow him to be a menace on defense. He can protect the rim from his position while also being able to smother opponents on the perimeter. Offensively, Dunn lives at the rim and can finish over shot-blockers. The 21-year-old is also an elite rebounder for his position. Dunn's skill set is similar to that of Matisse Thybulle and Andre Roberson, as he can guard the interior and perimeter at an elite level. Dunn also brings exceptional rebounding abilities for his position. He is still developing an outside shot, so his offensive game is currently capped to off-ball cutting and transition finishing. However, Dunn's impressive defensive ability, his ideal size and athleticism provide him a path to a valuable role at the next level.

ANALYSIS
Dunn tied for a team-high eight points with Dalton Knecht, although it was not enough to advance to the final. Dunn has seen a limited role of late, averaging 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per contest over his last five appearances. The Suns return to action Thursday against the Spurs.
