Elite NBA DFS Players

Guards

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder ($10,400) vs. Trail Blazers

Gilgeous-Alexander has generated at least 40.5 DK points in 10 of his 11 outings in December, during which he has averaged 31.5 points, 6.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. The reigning MVP has already faced off against Portland three times this season, averaging 32.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 34.7 minutes per contest in those three outings. His best performance against the Trail Blazers came at home in a Nov. 23 win, when he posted 58.3 DK points.

Jalen Brunson, Knicks ($9,400) at Spurs

Brunson has racked up at least 43.5 DK points in each of his last 10 regular-season appearances, averaging 32.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game during that stretch. While the Knicks have only faced off against the Spurs once, the star point guard fared relatively well. During the Knicks' NBA Cup Championship win over San Antonio on Dec. 16, Brunson posted 25 points, eight assists, four rebounds and one block in 41 minutes.

Forwards/Centers

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks ($10,900) vs. Wizards

The Bucks will likely continue to monitor Antetokounmpo's minutes in his third outing following an extended absence due to a soleus strain, though he still has an extremely favorable matchup against a lackluster Wizards defense. Despite the minutes restriction, the two-time MVP has still recorded 40.5-plus DK points in each of his last two appearances, during which he has averaged 26.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.0 minutes per game.

Victor Wembanyama, Spurs ($9,900) vs. Knicks

While the Spurs continue to be mindful of Wembanyama's playing time, he is back in the first unit and has provided 53.5 or more DK points in back-to-back starts. The star big man's minutes are trending upward, and over his last three appearances he has averaged 25.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 blocks in 27.0 minutes per tilt.

Deni Avdija, Trail Blazers ($9,700) at Thunder

Avdija has been on a tear of late, logging at least 42.5 DK points in eight straight games. While the Thunder's suffocating defense presents a challenge, the 24-year-old forward has recorded 58.5 or more DK points in two of his three outings against Oklahoma City. In three games against the defending champions so far this season, Avdija has averaged 22.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 32.7 minutes per contest.

Expected NBA DFS Chalk

Jamal Murray, Nuggets ($9,300) at Raptors

With the Nuggets missing four of their regular starters, including three-time MVP Nikola Jokic (knee), Murray will need to take on increased scoring and playmaking duties for the foreseeable future. The star point guard has notched at least 46.5 DK points in four of his last five games, averaging 27.4 points, 8.6 assists and 5.2 rebounds per tilt over that stretch.

Mid-Range NBA DFS Picks

Zion Williamson, Pelicans ($7,100) at Bulls

Williamson returned to the starting lineup in Monday's loss to New York and put on a show, dropping a season-high 32 points while supplying 48.3 DK points. The star forward's minutes are trending upward of late, as he has played at least 28 minutes in three straight games. During that span, he has averaged 24.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals in 28.7 minutes per contest.

Bobby Portis, Bucks ($5,900) vs. Wizards

While he has shifted back to a bench role with Giannis Antetokounmpo back in action, Portis has still posted 31.0-plus DK points in back-to-back outings with the second unit. The veteran forward has recorded at least 27.8 DK points in six straight games and will have a prime opportunity to extend that streak against Washington.

NBA DFS Value Picks

Khris Middleton, Wizards ($4,900) at Bucks

Middleton is well past his prime, though two of his best games have come against the Bucks this season. The veteran forward has tallied 31.0-plus DK points in both of his outings against his previous team this season, during which he has averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 30.0 minutes per tilt.

Tre Jones, Bulls ($4,500) vs. Pelicans

With Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Coby White (calf) sidelined, Jones figures to step into the starting five Wednesday. In 11 starts so far this season, the 25-year-old guard has averaged 13.3 points, 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 29.9 minutes per game.

Tre Johnson, Wizards ($4,200) at Bucks

Johnson has been productive of late, posting 20.3 or more DK points in seven of his last eight appearances. During that span, the rookie first-rounder has averaged 14.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 45.2 percent from beyond the arc in 22.3 minutes per contest. With Kyshawn George (hip) remaining on the shelf, Johnson should have another opportunity to put up strong numbers.
