Despite playing primarily as a starter during the 2023-24 season, Mann struggled to put up anything close to tangible fantasy value, ending well outside the top 200 in nine-category leagues. With modest averages of just 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.9 three-pointers, Mann rightfully spent most of his time on the waiver wire. To this point in his career, Mann has been unable to produce consistently, a trend that needs to change should the Clippers hope to make any real noise this season. The departure of Paul George leaves a gaping hole in their offense, a hole that ideally Mann and Norman Powell will be working to fill. Both Kawhi Leonard and James Harden are going to shoulder the bulk of the scoring load, but Mann should at least be given an opportunity to step up on that end of the court. At this point, Powell would be the preferred target even if he is coming off the bench, given he has a proven track record when it comes to scoring the basketball. Mann is worth considering with a last-round pick and if things don't pan out, it's back to the waiver wire he goes. Read Past Outlooks

Eustace Mann. He grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts. His mother is the head women's basketball coach at Rhode Island and played college basketball at Georgetown. His brother, Martin, is a forward at Pace University in New York. Terance attended the Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire, where he averaged 23.1 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting 61 percent from the field as a senior. Mann led the Rams to New Hampshire Class AA state championship in 2015. He was named the Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year in the state of New Hampshire in 2015. Mann played in the Jordan Brand Regional game in Brooklyn, New York, in 2015 and registered a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds to go along with four assists and two steals in 22 minutes. He has volunteered as a mentor for children with special needs and as a youth basketball coach. Learn more about Mann by following him on Twitter and on Instagram (@terance_mann). For four seasons, Mann provided excellent defense for coach Leonard Hamilton and Florida State. The 6-foot-7 guard did not start a game as a freshman but averaged 5.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.0 minutes. He scored a season-high 18 points on a 6-for-7 tally from the field in a loss to Georgia Tech. The team missed the NCAA Tournament, but that would be the last such occurrence in Mann's career. He moved into the starting lineup as a sophomore and provided 8.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Mann popped for 22 points and nine rebounds in a win over Virginia Tech. He helped the Seminoles with 12.6 points and 5.4 rebounds as a junior. The team advanced to the Elite Eight, but Mann suffered a torn abdominal and groin muscle during the NCAA Tournament. He played through the injury and scored 18 points in the Sweet 16 win over Gonzaga. The guard averaged 11.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in his senior season. The team advanced to the Sweet 16 again, but Florida State was ousted on that occasion by Gonzaga. In the first two games of the NCAA Tournament, Mann was 13-for-19 from the field on his way to a combined 37 points. Mann was drafted with the 48th pick of the 2019 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Hands out six assists
GLos Angeles Clippers
November 19, 2024
Mann finished Monday's 102-99 victory over Golden State with 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists and two steals in 23 minutes.
ANALYSIS Mann recorded a season-high six assists in what was one of his best performances of the season. He's been far from a reliable fantasy option, however, as he's currently outside the top-200 producers in nine-category formats with averages of 5.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

2019
Mann continued to tease some upside during the 2022-23 season, although did see his production take a step back after a mini breakout the previous year. He rounded out the season as the 231st-ranked player in nine-category leagues, averaging 8.8 points to go with 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.5 steals. His playing time fell to 23.1 minutes per night -- well down from the 28.6 MPG he was seeing only a year earlier. As with last season, much of Mann's opportunities are likely to hinge on injuries to other players, namely Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The Clippers' roster remains relatively deep, meaning playing time can be hard to come by for fringe options such as Mann. While he is likely to feature in the rotation, his current trajectory is not one that should excite fantasy managers, at least not for the foreseeable future.
Mann parlayed a strong 2021 postseason (7.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 19 games) into a sizable role during the 2021-22 campaign. During his breakout season, he averaged 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 28.6 minutes per game -- all career highs. He shot 48.4 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three (2.6 attempts per game). Regardless of what position he's asked to play, he appears to have earned coach Lue's trust and should have a solidified role heading into Year 4. However, the Clippers are one of the deepest teams in the league and are expected to have superstars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard healthy again, plus the team added John Wall in free agency this offseason. Not to mention last year's trade deadline acquisitions -- Norman Powell and Robert Covington -- will be major keys to Los Angeles' success. All of the aforementioned players would be considered veterans and likely subject to multiple rest days throughout the season, while Mann is not. There's certainly a role for Mann's versatility on both ends of the court, though, barring injury, he's unlikely to eclipse his career marks from a year ago.
The Florida State product's regular season was nothing great, as he averaged 7.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in 18.9 minutes. However, Mann did impress from beyond the arc with a 41.8 percent mark from three. After seeing inconsistent playing time throughout the year, Mann's role immediately changed once Kawhi Leonard went down with a knee injury in the playoffs. The 24-year-old saw 28.5 minutes per game while posting averages of 12.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Mann started in six of the remaining eight playoff games after Leonard's injury and even added in a memorable 39 point series-clinching outburst against the Jazz. With Leonard most likely out for the start of the year, if not the whole year, Mann should see his playing time increase, but the team did add more competition for him as well. Eric Bledsoe is back with the team, and the Clippers also acquired Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and Brandon Boston in the offseason as well. While Mann impressed in the playoffs, the team's roster upheaval and his inconsistent play makes him a harder option to trust in fantasy formats this season.
A 6-foot-7, 215-pound senior out of Florida State, Mann went to the Clippers with the 48th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He was voted to the ACC All-Honorable Mention Team in both 2018 and 2019, and he made it onto the ACC All-Tournament Second Team last season. As a senior, he averaged 11.4 points (50.5 FG%, 39.0 3P%, 79.0 FT%), 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31.7 minutes. Arguably Mann's best in-conference performance occurred during an 80-62 regular-season victory over Syracuse, where he racked up 22 points on nine shots, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Appearing in three summer league games with the Clippers, Mann averaged 8.7 points on 6.7 shots, along with a surprising 11.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.0 steal in 27.5 minutes despite not showing much upside as a rebounder or passer in college. As a rookie, Mann's path to minutes is cloudy. LA has no shortage of wing depth, starting with the elite talents of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, not to mention Landry Shamet, Lou Williams, Mo Harkless and Rodney McGruder. As a result, Mann might spend large portions of 2019-20 in the G League.

Will remain in starting role
GLos Angeles Clippers
September 11, 2024
Mann is expected to maintain his status as a regular starter for the Clippers to begin the 2024-25 season, Law Murray of The Athletic speculates.
ANALYSIS Mann started 71 of his 75 regular-season appearances for the Clippers in 2023-24, and even though Paul George left the team during the offseason, that shouldn't impact Mann's status as a starter. He's expected to play alongside James Harden in the backcourt after averaging 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last season.
